Shortly before the change of year there was another disaster this year:
On 12/28 for one day I should go to my breeder. We had mighty winter weather - here and also in Slovakia. My human took half day off from the office and went on the trip, together with her dad and me, best equipped (snow chains, sand for grit, spade, ....). Everything went fine and we arrived healthy and sound at my breeder and her family. On the next day I was to be picked up again.

On the way home it happened: My human was nearly at home, she had been driven according to the weather and roads very leisurely. In front of a long curve at the end of a village a van came towards and my human saw that the driver and the front-seat passenger were chatting (nuns). It seemed to my human that this car would not drive correctly into the curve or at least too far on the other lane. She braked without any problems and the moment the car stood still there was a crash: the nuns had been driving straight instead of taking the curve. Everything which can be damaged in the front of a car is damaged. Thank goodness there were witnesses who saw that my human came to that crash through no fault of herself.
Because of the holidays there is vacation time everywhere and therefore there are problems with the inspection of the car by the insurance company and for repairing the car. Only on Jan. 9 the car will be inspected in the garage, until then the car is not allowed to be moved and we have to do all the necessary things by foot or by train.

In the evening of 12/29 I should have been picked up again, but that did not work because the train connections to Bratislava end in a way that there was no chance to get back home again. Therefore, the humans said that I would be picked up on 12/30 in the afternoon.

Rude awakening in the morning both at my breeder and my human: violent squall and snow. In the radio they said that it was not even possible to keep the main streets clean because of all the snowdrift, which was why a border and lots of side streets were closed, which was why partly train connections were interrupted and on all the branch line nothing at all worked. For my breeder the impossibility to get me to the central station of Bratislava, for my human uncertain if the train to Bratislava would drive. There were lots of phone calles to and fro if the situation had changed, but no such luck. So it was faced up to get me back on 12/31 and I had to stay with my breeder for another night. Not that I don't like to be there or that I don't feel good there, but I wanted back to were I am at home, back to all my friends ..... and also my human did not know whether she was coming or going because she missed me.

On 12/31 the weather showed understanding for us and the situation on the roads and with the train connections turned to be better. Now my breeder could bring me to the central station in Bratislava early in the afternoon and hand me over to my human. Wow, what a thrill. Finally we managed to be together again at the end of this year.

Thank you very much to Jana and my breeder Iveta for all their effort that I get back home again and to Iveta that I got everything I needed while I was with her and her family for an unexpected longer time. She even sewed two cool house suits for me while I had been there .....

Till soon, and hopefully with better news. And have fingers crossed that our car is soon repaired and that there will be no problems with the opposing insurance company, as this would be the very last thing we needed after this year with many strokes of fate and lots of turbulences.

A good New Year with lots of luck, success and mainly healthiness is what I wish - and without seeming to be egoistic: these wishes mainly apply for my human and all her family (two and four legged). The past two bad years shall finally be a thing of the past and it shall go steeply uphill for her and all of us here!

For a last time in this year my human and I once again went to my family and my breeder, where we handed over the Christmas presents: Among others my human had made a yearly calendar - with lots of photos from me, that were taken from July to November. Iveta and her family were really pleased about that. I have got a great, smooth dog blanket from Iveta which - according to what my human said - will be used at the upcoming shows.
We also made a stop at our kind vet to wish her and her family all the best and to say thanks for the great medical care during the last year. A surprise was waiting there for us: the dressmaker had finished another home dress for me, which is once again very beautiful. Soon there will be photos from me wearing this outfit
As always this was a very pleasant and nice stay with my family, and already now we all look forward to continue this in the coming year.

Today my human and I have spent a most wonderful day with my family and my breeder. Unfortunately the weather was too bad (snow, ice rain and rain) to take pictures. It's a pity, but that's life ..........
We have also picked up my first winterproof coat from the tailor. As I have grown since measurements were taken this dress will not fit for long, it's kind of a narrow feeling when I run, but the next coat is already worked on. I have to go through that as we have snow and ice and of course I need the right outfit. My human has promised me that we won't make "forced marches" in that coat, as I toll around so much at home and for sure keep moving enough with all the crew here. And for during the day I have already some nice dress, and soon some pictures of that will be taken, so that you can admire me in my gallery. :-)

Gizmo celebrated her 7th birthday today. We have been celebrating much after I came home from the office. There were some new toys for the girl and of course I had to look at them immediately and try them out. :-)

I have been visiting my family again, today, Mom, my big brother Hopikirk, the rest of the gang and of course my breeder and her family. Gizmo and my human joined me, and as always it was a great time.
And afterwards we went to the dog dressmaker to order some coats for me as it is already a bit fresh and winter is coming. I can't wait to see what kind of great clothing I shall soon wear.

Gizmo and I visited Batida and Einstein today. Both are Briards and where born in the house where I live now. As it was a sunny autumn day we had a nice walk in the forest which begins right behind the house of the two Briards - I really enjoyed it!

Today we have visited my family and breeder again - it was funny as always. The humans had a laugh when I pounced on a water melon which the son of the breeder wanted to eat while watching TV. :-) It was delicious ...... I love any kind of fruit and vegetable ...... they should have known that!

Visiting my breeder and her family - together with Gizmo and Mummy - makes me meet my mom again after 4 weeks - that's a real pleasure! Of course I also meet my big brother Hopkirk, my female cousin Amanda and some other family members and friends. We are playing much together while the humans are talking about all sorts of things. It's a pity that time flies so fast ...... but for sure we will go there soon again ......

Today in the morning we have arrived back home from Belgium. I am happy to be with my big family again.

Together with Gizmo, Zabou and Mummy I am going to Belgium for some days. It's a long trip, but we stop several times and have rests in foreign countries. Unfortunately I don't see too much of that as we mainly drive during the night, but this way I can get a good night's sleep to be prepared for new adventures.
It's nice in Belgium: I got to know new dogs and a new friend: Deedee, a 9 months old Shih Tzu girl. I have lots of fun with her and we play till we fall over.

From today on I am always in the office with my Mummy. For learning very much, I am going with the train and the underground. In the office I also get to know many new people, and I am allowed to play as much as I want - that's funny, as the humans all have to work while I have fun. Great, I like that!

This was a very exciting day: I left my family, started a new life in another country and got introduced to my new companions.
