For the last time this year Mum and I have visited our Ula, her children and our breeders. Today we have been there for a very song time, since we drove off already in the morning. As always we have spent a great day, have had delicious lunch and enjoyed the time. Our friend Ivana also came over with her two sons, and so we could see her again after quite a time.
Ula's children are total sweet little babies, they walk around already and start to play with each other. Ula herself will tell you about all the other things around the puppies.
Well, and there is a big surprise: my big brother Hopi (Ch. Family Song's HOPKIRKLACHESIS) spends one week vaccation here and drove back home with us right away. Es was a bit surprised to see that so many dogs are running around here - big ones and small ones - but he will get used to that rather soon. All of them gave him a big welcome and wanted to play with him, but that was not what Hopi wanted to do on the very first evening. When all the others were off to bed, Mum started to download the photos from the camera and Hopi and I went to bed besides her. Of course the first vacation pics of Hopi are already available.
Next Sunday Hopi will go back home again - of course together with us, when we are visiting our dear family again.
Now we wish all our friends and families a good slide into the New Year as well as healthiness, luck and success in 2007. We look forward to meet you here again soon.
All the best - Voodoo & Family

Time had come again: we went to Ula, her kids and our breeders, and as always it was a rapturous welcome. Before lunch the Christmas presents for our breeders were handed over: there was a calendar with monthly photos from Ula and myself and two big coffee cups, with a photo each from Ula and myself. The calendar was hang up immediately and Iveta had her tea out of the cup with my picture. As always we spent a very pleasant afternoon with Iveta and her family.
Of course lots of pictures have been taken from Ula's children - what else could have been. I don't blab out more, because the proud mother also says some words about our visit. So come and visit Ula, if you want to know more and see the latest puppy photos.
Oh well, we meet again here latest in a week, because then Mum and I drive of course again to our Ula and our breeders.

One week has passed and full of joyful anticipation we - Mum and I - have visited our Ula and her children. The welcome of Ula was again totally tempestuous and Mum was of course accordingly happy. There was an excellent lunch for Mom and we spent an utmost comfortable afternoon wit Iveta, Jozef, Ondrej, Martin and the dogs. Once again unforgettable nice hours which passed much too fast.
Ula's children have gained much weight in this week and developed nicely. Of course there were taken pictures which can be admired in the puppy album.
Lots of thanks for the wonderful hospitality! We look already forward with delight to travel to our dear friends at Christmas, and will then see Ula's children with their eyes opened and again a bit bigger.

Today Mum and I have a long last visited our Ula. That was a real joy! Ula was all excited - less with me, but with Mum - she really kissed her all over. And then she proudly showed Mum her babies. I was not allowed to go there, I could only see them from a distance. I can't imagine at all that I have also once been that tiny. They are such tiny little doggies. But take a look yourself, there have been taken lots of fotos and some of them are now in the album of Ula's puppies.
Saying good bye was not that easy for Mum, but next Saturday we drive again to visit our girl and she will get through that; I will help her.
So in a week there will be some other news. Till then!
December 8, 2006
Our sweet little Ula has made it:
On December 6, her puppies were born: 3 boys hairless, 2 girls hairless and 1 girl powderpuff. She is a real great mother - as if she has never done anything else. We all are mighty proud of our girl. Many thanks to Iveta and Ondrej, that they kept us informed about the whelping via SMS! With these puppies Ula has made a gorgeous Christmas present to our breeders.
Congratulations to the kennel Family Song's for some more very promising offspring, and congratulation to Gondy that he has turned to be dad of lovely small Chinese.
The first photos of the kids can be seen via the page of the parents Ula & Gondy.

Since Ula is with our breeder to be prepared for her litter, it is calmer here. She is missed very much by all of us. I am really not in the mood to play and preferable sleep all day long, and - if possible - on Mum's lab or behind her on the chair.
A pleasure for all of us: Ula did NOT turn to be sick. So it was good that we brought her out of the house immediately after the first ones had started with the Laryngitis. We are incidentally all healthy again; besides Gizmo, Whoopy, Zabou and Courage all had been laid low - me too.
And of course Mum is asking about Ula frequently. We only hear good things: she is eating good, she is sleeping in the bed with Iveta and Jozef and she sees to get spoilt continuously by Jozef. Since last weekend the puppies can be felt and they shall be very lively, as we heard today. Some more days Ula has to get through that, but by end of this week the puppies should be born. We continue to have fingers crossed that everything will work fine and that Ula will whelp strong, healthy puppies.
November 21, 2006
Yesterday Mom had to make new arrangements, totally unexpected, and bring Ula over to her breeders immediately:
In the evening our family member Frizzante was "coughing" and was brought to a vet. Diagnosis: laryngitis. Frizzy got a vaccination and some tablets. And because he is always togehter with dear Oh-Lala, there were also given tablets for her. This was good, because when Frizzy came back home from the vet, she was also coughing. Before we drove off, two other family members began: Amaretto and Armagnac, Gizmo's children.
Immediately Ula's most important things were packed, Slovakia was phoned and off we went for the trip. Meeting place was the clinic of our vet in Ivanka, where Mom was provided with more tablets for all the other ones here at home, in case we all would get infected. There was a cold comfort for Mom: one of the three girls of our vet has also caught the laryngitis, and so we know that this virus is going around and that we are not the only ones.
As we were already in the vet's clinic we had another ultrasound done with Ula and everything is ok with her children. This was of course something thrilling for all.
Then the trip for Ula continued to our kennel, where she will now stay until her expected children are old enough to get along without her. Ula was happy to meet all the family. And because she did not have her dinner because of the overhasty departure, she got a great portion of chicken, and one could hear that she liked it.
Ula also has our joint bed with her, toys and her travel bag, and therewith things with her, which smell like at home. She will like this. And as we got to know today, she spent her first night in the bed with Jozef, the head of the household. ;-)
Much too fast time had come to say good-bye, and Mom really had to take care that she did not start crying. Well, she still has me, her little Voodoo, and I can see to get spoilt very much.
This was a sad surprise for all of as, since Ula would have still stayed here at home for a couple of more days. But the hope, that she is not yet infected and the worry about her health and the health of her expected puppies, did not give another choice. The sad it is that Ula will now not be here for quite a time, the good we know that she is in the very best hands with Iveta and her family. Until the puppies are born the risk of an infection will be gone, and then we can visit the girl. But for the time being fingers are tightly crossed that Ula remains healthy and that soon she is giving birth to her babies without any problems!
When we had arrived at home, another family member had started to cough: little Absinth, Gizmo's daughter. Luckily Mom has got enough tablets and so could begin with the treatment of the three Yorkies immediately. Oh-Lala got a vaccination today because despite the tablets her coughing did not turn to be better since yesterday; Frizzy nearly does not cough anymore and this is a small bright spot on the horizon. Anyway, all of us are now having Ecchinacea for strengthening of our immune system. Hopefully the nightmare is over soon and the still remaining healthy family members are not infected!
November 19, 2006
Ula can now absolutely not hide that she is pregnant. The sixth week is over and soon she will have her puppies. Today in a week we are going to drive to our breeders Iveta and Ondrej, and will leave Ula there with a heavy heart and lots of tears in the eyes, so that she can raise her children in our kennel.
In the page Ula and Gondy there are some photos of today, where one can easily see that it won't be very long for Ula.
November 7, 2006
There is a new site in our homepage:
From the owners of Gondolier today Mom has received lots of photos which have been taken at the occasion of the mating. Therefore, today a site for Ula and Gondy has been put up.
Lots of thanks to Lada, that she took the time and effort to e-mail these many pictures!
Mom and Lada have already talked much via e-mail. Now both of them hope that sometime they get to meet each other personally. Well, maybe there is a chance when Ula has her puppies ...........
A link to the kennel Al Shraifi, where Gondy lives, has also been placed in our link page.
November 3, 2006
Today we have great news:
Yesterday we (Mom and I) have been at the ultrasounds with Ula ...... and there we could see that the trip to Gondolier was successful and that she is going to have puppies. Everyone is totally excited and they are happy. Crossing fingers has helped and beginning of December there will be puppies in the kennel were both of us were born.
Tomorrow once again we are going to Slovakia to our vet, and we are going to meet our breeders there, so that Mom can discuss the time when Ula will be brought to our home country to whelp and to raise the expected puppies. I really don't want to think about that, because I will really miss Ula; the time while she will not be here hopefully won't be too long. And ...... we will spend Christmas and New Year without Ula ...... That's sad, but luckily her heard Mom say that we are going to visit Ula every week.
Latest after birth of Ula's children you will find news again here.
October 10, 2006
Yesterday evening we brought Ula back home. We met our breeders, who had just directly come back from Czech from the stud, at our vet. We were so much delighted!
Ula still smells quite interesting and I am after her, which I should not do, so Mom separates us, which does not bother Ula, but I don't like it.
Now it is meant to have fingers tightly crossed that the long travel was worthwile and that Ula has gives birth to healthy puppies after Gondolier.
October 5, 2006
Once again there are great news from here:
When last week we have met our breeder, she asked Mom, if she would agree that Ula was bred in her next season, so that she could be in the show ring again next year. But we had absolutely no idea about Ula's "rhythm", because from the former owner our breeder Iveta had not got any information, but Ula, was highly false pregnant when she had come here.
Mom did not have anything against the idea of Iveta.
Ula seems to have listened to that conversation, see - she came into season last week Thursday. A perfect timing, also concerning the health check of Ula, because just on this day another vaccination of Zabou's kids was due and therefore that was working at the same time for Mom at the occasion of her date in the Vet. University in Vienna.
Immediately after the health check (Ula is healthy) Iveta was informed and it was arranged that on October 4, Ula would be brought to our breeders, so that she could leave on Friday, namely tomorrow, to Czech to the chosen stud and spend the weekend with him.
Mom then looked at the chosen stud for Ula in the Internet and said, that he is rather beautiful. I am a little bit jealous, because for me it is not ok, that my best friend travels to another beautiful boy and leaves me alone for some days. But Mom is right .......... he is a pretty boy, this Gondolier (that's his name).
(click on the photo to enlarge it)
This one week passed rather quickly and suddenly all the most important things for Ula were packed: food, toys, treats, copy of the pedigree, vaccination passport, collar and lead, rain coat, house coats in case it gets even more cold, and the great comfortable travelling bag, which has been bought only for us. The house coats were specially sewed from Mom last weekend, so that our girl looks neat in case she needs these suits.
Yesterday evening we drove again to Slovakia and met Iveta and Ondrej at our vet. Time was flying very fast and soon Ula went home with Iveta and Ondrej and I with Mom.
So tomorrow Ula travels to Czech and will spend the weekend with CH. Sasquehanna GONDOLIER (Champion of Czech and Cyprus, Youth Champion of Czech, father of 31 children until now). On Monday we are going to pick up Ula again, and I really look forward to that, as I dearly miss her and so does Mom.
Fingers are tightly crossed that everything works find and that in two months healthy and sweet Chinese Crested are born out of this very promising combination. And we wish Iveta and Ondrej a safe trip and that all of them arrive healthy and happy at home, where we will meet them on Monday. So then, till soon - Voodoo
September 24, 2006
We have been in Slovakia yesterday at our vet to do some shopping, and then we visited our breeder. A big family reunion again. Unfortunately there was no chance and no time for taking photos, but today some pictures were made. They are as always found via the gallery (Voodoo's Youth and Ula is grown up).
Till soon!
September 17, 2006
As it turned to be a bit quieter in the house now (4 of the puppies of Zabou have already left the house) there was some time to take photos from us.
We have been bathed today .......... and afterwards we decided to toll around in the garden. Mom was not that enthusiastic, as the result of the bathing was gone a bit, but we had fun.
When Mom watched us she said that she thought to have dogs and not dancing bears. ......... Why these thought came to her mind, you can see in our gallery.
That's all for today. Next Saturday we are going to Slovakia visit our vet again and we are also going to meet our breeder there. When the weather is fine there will for sure be photos and probably some news. See you ..........
August 29, 2006
On August 27, the second Slovakian National Specialty took place and of course both of us were there.
Because the father of our Mom is in hospital and her mother had a surgery and still needs to walk on crutches, we did not spend the night in Slovakia this time, but left early Sunday morning. The alarm woke us at 3:15 a.m., we believe we have never got up that early (just went to bed at such a time). At 4:30 a.m. we went off to Slovakia and arrived at 05:45 a.m. at the house of our breeder. It was a big hello to meet our animal and human families after one week again. There was breakfast and then the car of our breeder was packed, as we all went in one car. Finally our friend Ivana with her dogs also arrived. At 6:30 a.m. we started the trip to Remata, where we arrived two hours later. We found a great place in a small pavilion, where we all were accommodated perfectly - safe of sun and, as it turned out to be later, safe of showers.
85 dogs were entered totally as the club is not only respondent for the Chinese Crested, but also for some other breeds. But it was us to be shown in the beginning: first the powderpuff and then the hairless. A great meadow with lots of space for running was our ring. The photos of the show you can find, as always, in our galleries: Ula resp. Voodoo. Our results can of course also be found in our pages: results Ula resp. results Voodoo. And because family members and friends were also shown, there is a separate slide show about the 2nd Slovakian Specialty. Take a look at our updated galleries, you will find some nice photos there.
We Chinese were shown with perfect weather. Some other breeds did not have that much luck, because as soon as our judging was over drizzle started between sunny phases. Still, most of them remained dry because only when the show was completely over heavy rain showers started.
The day turned to be rather long, because after the show the Club had a meeting. Mom stayed with us, which was fine, because all of a sudden tons of rain came, lots of wind and it turned to be so cold. Luckily we had that place in the pavilion, and luckily Mom had been thinking about taking coats for us to the show. This was of urgent need, as there was a draught. Only at 6 p.m. we finally could start our trip back. We have had it totally because our day had started in the middle of the night. When we arrived at our breeders' home, only our things and we were packed into our car and we headed off immediately direction home. Both of us could sleep in the car, but Mom had to hang in and drive us home safe. As soon as we arrived at home we did not even take the time for a big hello or telling stories - we just fell into our beds and were fast asleep. ......
In some weeks for sure we will go and visit our breeders again, but until then there is a rest from traveling. And by now we don't know which other shows we might attend this year. Still there is lots of visit here because Zabou's puppies are sought-after and their new owners come here every now and then. End of next week also Pascale from Belgium, where we have spent some nice days this year in May, comes here. She does not know Ula, we can't wait what she says about her. And beginning of October there will be even visit from the States - we are mighty curious, because Mom says, she is thrilled to meet this visitor finally again after a very long time.
For sure there will also be some photos about our "private life" soon. You can read about this here. Till then we greet you all and look already forward to meet you here again.
August 22, 2006
All the pictures from last weekend's dog shows are online now. You can see them in our slide shows Voodoo's Shows and Ula's Shows. Thank you very much to Ivana and her husband that they placed the pictures they took at my proposal.
Next news should come after the Slovakian National Specialty this coming Sunday. Have fingers crossed for us please.
August 21, 2006
Our long show weekend in Bratislava is over and done, and we had great weather as well as two wonderful days with our families. Finally, on Sunday evening both of us were rather exhausted and we went to bed early. Mom was also a bit whacked, but she had to drive us home while we could already sleep a bit.
For both of us both days were different: on Saturday Exc. 4 for Voodoo (junior class) und very good for Ula (open class), on Sunday very good 3 for Voodoo (youth class) and Exc. 1 CAC Res. CACIB for Ula (open class). Ula's result on Sunday was something very special as it was only her third show in her life and with her experience during her childhood and youth is sometimes still a bit insecure. On Saturday she still had some problems with the noise - which is usual at shows. And the exhibitor behind her was clapping in her hands and on her legs for motivation her dog. That was totally new for Ula and she could not digest that immediately. But on Sunday she kept more cool and gave her best. We all were mighty proud of her that under hard concurrence with again 7 other girls, which had been older than she, she won the open class. And that finally she went Res. CACIB behind her sister was something we all had not expected.
For our breeders Iveta and Ondrej respectively for the kennel Family Song's the weekend was a real success: Lilly went on both days BOB!
Since today I (Voodoo) am not longer in the youth class, I will be shown in medium class from now on. So coming Sunday at the Slovakian National Specialty I will be presented in the new class.
We have not yet worked on all the photos, that is why just few pics are found in the gallery, but within the next days it should be done and all the pics can be admired there. Just come over again and take a look.
August 15/16, 2006
There was something going on here since we have reported:
Since July 12, the Briard babies of Zabou are in the world. For some weeks were not allowed to go to them because Zabou did not like it. We have only heard them and from time to time seen them through the grille in the door. Last week, finally, we were allowed to visit them for the first time, the six little rascals. As they are rather insensitive, we sometimes have to be very careful when we are near to them, because their sharp teeth can really hurt. And finally today the small ones have been in the garden for the first time, and we have kept them company.
There are a few new photos in the gallery.
And on August 18, so in two days, we are finally going on tour again with Mom: we are traveling to Slovakia to our breeders and on the following two days we have show in Bratislava and both of us are in the ring on both days. For sure there will be things to report afterwards, and of course there should be new photos.
So then, till after the coming weekend. And please have fingers crossed that we are bringing home good show results.
July 1, 2006
Since shortly here at home Briard babies of our friend Zabou are expected, and we therefore don't know when we can travel around again, we went to Slovakia with our Mom to visit our vet and to also meet our breeder Iveta there.
We have spent some great hours in the garden and tolled around with Atlanta and Cantante, the two Italian Greyhounds of the vet. For a short time we had to endure a small show training, but we got over that soon and could continue tolling.
Some real nice photos have been taken, you will for sure like them. They are in the gallieries Voodoo's Youth, Ula's Youth and Voodoo & Ula - Ula & Voodoo. Have fun when leafing through the photo album!
Unfortunately for all of us the day did not end as we had hoped. It had a very sad end and there will be grief for quite a time here: We had to say goodbye for ever to the twelf and a half year old Briard boy Apollo, as he went on his journey over the Rainbow Bridge to his relatives and friends. He is very much missed here, also from us, because he was always dear and kind and very patient with us small ones.
We and all the others here take great trouble to divert Mom. .....
June 18, 2006
Since five weeks we are now two of us here, and Ula has settled in great. When she is met, it's not to believe that she was not growing up here. Besides lots of new experience which she has made here already, she gets along perfectly with all the others here - no matter if big or small. And since this week she is playing daily very much with me. We are a great team, the two of us, and we have lots of fun together. On the occasion of our playing and tolling there has been set up a new photo album in the gallery: Voodoo & Ula - Ula & Voodoo. Take a look at aus when we are romping around .....
June 3/4, 2006
In the evening of June 3, Mom and I (Voodoo) drove to my breeders to pick up our Ula and to spend another night out of house, as I had a show in Nitra on June 4.
Great happiness when Ula saw as. The way she greets Mom one can't believe that it is only three weeks that she is with us. Ula's sister Lilly was also there and some visitors who had visited Bella's puppies. They are neat and already very active and funny. We have taken lots of photos of them so that hopefully soon our breeders have an update of the puppy gallery in their homepage. After a delicious dinner and some chatting we went to our accomodation, where we are of course already well known.
On June 4, early in the morning we went for breakfast at our breeders and there was some body styling for Lilly and me. With sunshine, but low temperatures and lots of wind we drove to Nitra together with my breeders as well as Janka and her niece, where we met lots of friends again.
For me the show was not that good, but is was my own fault: I did not want to run, just hopped around and looked out for Mom, as my breeder Iveta showed me. Nobody could understand that I behaved that badly, as until now I had always shown how nicely I can run. But I wanted to get to Mom. The result was an "excellent 3", even though the judge would have liked to give me something better .......... but he had to be fair and that is ok.
My friend Lilly went out of the ring with Exc. 2, Res. CAC, while her sister/my partner Ula was not in the ring today, but watched us and from time to time had a nap or was out for a walk with us. Of course we also went shopping again, as Ula urgently needed a rain coat and a warm dress for very cold days. She got the same models as I have, just in other colors. For sure it will look cool when we both are having our walks in rain or on cold days in partner look .......... we really look forward to that.
In the early afternoon Mom, Ula, Iveta, Janka with her niece and I went back to the breeders' home, where the humans hat lunch and sat together for some time, while we all dogs were allowed to toll around outside in the yard. As always time went by much too fast and we three, namely Mom, Ula and I, had to go back home, but there we had of course a warm welcome by our Briard and Yorkie family.
So once again we have a nice weekend behind of us and are happy that it did not rain at the show as well as during our "leisure time", and we look forward to the next reunion with our family and our friends.
As it was not my day there are only a very few pictures in the gallery: in my show gallery and one picture in Ula's youth gallery. Next time it will be better, that's what I heard from Mom, as she is going to show me by herself, and I will go to great trouble to make things suitable. In addition we have plans that Ula and I will have lots of training with Mom until we are back in the show ring on two days in a row in August in Bratislava.
In the meantime there will for sure be some other news from us and from here. Just come and take a look here again. Till soon! Your Voodoo
June 2, 2006
We all here are totally excited and happy:
Yesterday both of us and Mom drove to Slovakia to our vet, where we met our breeders. Ula stayed with the breeders, as today she had her very first show in her life. She is missed here - by all of as, but the message we just received makes the absence of Ula a bit bearable: At her very first show she got Exc. 2 Res. CAC. We all are mighty proud of this small girl.
Tomorrow I (Voodoo) and Mom are going again to our breeders. We stay overnight, because on Sunday I am in the show ring again ...... and of course we are picking up Ula.
May 28, 2006
Yesterday we have accompanied our human and the Briards Frizzy and Oh-Lala to the Austrian National Briard Specialty. For some time we had to stay in the car, but every now and then our mom got us and had us run on a big great meadow. We had lots of fun, saw many other Briards and got to know new humans. And luckily the weather was not too bad: it only rained in the break and there was some heavy wind from time to time, but otherwise it was sunny and warm. In the afternoon we have been in the garden at home and helped our mom picking the first cherries. We were allowed to nibble as we both like any kind of fruit.
And today mom has again taken some photos from both of us, which can be seen in our galleries.
So we have a nice weekend behind of us. Hopefully the next one will also be that nice: Both of us are at shows in Slovakia. How it was there and how it went you will for sure be able to read in our homepage after the next weekend.
May 21, 2006
Today is a big day for me, Voodoo: I am celebrating my first birthday. I have already had some delicious treats and there is also a new "bed", which is very soft and very comfortable. The day is still young, so I am sure that there will happen some more concerning my birthday.
In this place I also want to send my warmest congratulation to my brother Van Damme. Happy, happy birthday!
May 14, 2006
Today we have got "new arrival to the family": My human and I have gone to my breeders to take a look at the puppies of Bella Stella, as it was planned to have a girl as a companion for me. The puppies are sweet and there would have been a dark hairless girl for us in the litter, but fate would have it in another way:
Yesterday my breeders have got back a girl born in their kennel, Ula at the age of 15 months. My human fell in love with Ula immediately and it happened that some hours later we went home with this girl. She is a very sweet one and has felt comfortable rather soon here. And Zabou, my very best friend, was also enthusiastic about Ula immediately.
Cool, now we are two of our breed here, and we together we will experience and undertake much. . Ula is now integrated into this homepage. It will last some more days till most of it is finisched, but soon you will be able to admire Ula in her own photo galleries.
By the way, there are puppies available out of the litter of Bella Stella. Interests please contact the breeders directly through the homepage Family Song's or us via the contact form.
May 7 to 12 2006
We have been on tour - Zabou, Gizmo, my human and I. Nearly 2800 kilometers we have been driving in the past days. We were off to Belgium to Pascale and her family, where we spent wonderful days and where I have again seen much and got to now new things. Thanks so much for the great hospitality, dear Pascale! There are of course new photos in my gallery.
April 22, 2006
With - finally - bright sunshine my human and I went to Slovakia again to visit our vet, who has a delightfull litter of Italian Greyhounds. My breeder Iveta and her husband Jozef also came over. We were so much delighted as we had not seen each other for a month.
The afternoon was spent in the garden where I tolled around and about with Atlanta, the young Italian Greyhound girl of my vet. It was just wonderful to enjoy such great weather. There were also taken photos in the garden which can be found in the gallery.
Unfortunately such nice hours end much to fast and we all had to say good-bye and get back home. Well, in latest three weeks we are going to visit my family again, which I already look foreward with pleasure.
April 10, 2006
Yesterday I was joining my Briard friend Oh-Lala and my human to an International All Breed Show in Austria where Oh-Lala was shown in veteran class for the first time. There were plenty of dogs and crowds of people .......... much to see for me. Some friends of my human were also there and were rather astonished when they got sight of me .......... many of them had not known about me.
A friend of my human, who has just lost a son of my human's Briard Sándor, was coming over to visit us and stayed with us until we went back home again. I was cuddled and carried around .......... well, I must say, I liked it.
Of course my human and I also went shopping and I got some nice things: a collier collar, a beautiful leather show lead, another show collar and two show leads including the collar. I look forward to wear these things at the next shows.
And finally we also met my dad Albi, who had also been shown and went BOB. Congratulation, dear Daddy and dear Hanka! I am proud of my dad, he is such a smart and beautiful boy. Hopefully I step into his paw prints concerning shows. Hanka, his owner, cuddled me as she always does when she meets me.
It was a very nice day and I had lots of things to tell to the others when we were back home.
April 7, 2006
Since today 11:12 a.m. we are proud owner of the domain chinese-crested.eu:
March 18/19, 2006
Once again we have a real nice weekend behind us: It was show time again and, therewith, family meeting. This time my friend Gizmo also joined us.
In the afternoon of March 18, we started the trip. First we went to our vet, a friend of us, and her family and then to my breeders. Lilly was also there and of course we had lots of fun. In the evening, before we went to our accommodation for spending the night, we visited friends of our breeders who breed Yorkies.
On March 19, there was breakfast at the breeders and then we went off to Nitra with Ondrej, Martin, friend Ivana with son David, breeder Iveta and Mom as well as Lilly, Bella, myself and Gizmo. We had already sunshine early in the morning and this promised that the day would really be nice. The show halls were huge with big rings. And of course we met some other friends again which we had got to know at the previous shows. It was a pleasant, eventful day, nice things were bought and we all went back happy and satisfied, having a snack at my breeders before we said good-bye to get home.
Photos of the show can be found via my Gallery.
The results look quite respectable .......... : Lilly went Youth Winner and got the BOB, Bella got the CAC and I .......... yes, I went Junior Winner again, but for the coronation of the day something, which for sure nobody had expected, was added: I went Second BIS Youth Males and received my first cup. Well, needless to say that we all can be mighty proud and are thrilled. Big congratulation to the breeders Iveta & Ondrej for these great results, and thanks so much for this wonderful weekend!
February 24/25, 2006
Once again an exciting and great weekend is behind us. We - my human and I - went to my breeder and my family on 02/24/2006, where - as always - we spent some nice hours. It was just nice to meet my family again after a month. My friend Lilly, whom I had already met and hold in high regard since my last show, was also there. And most droll were the kids of Yorkie Dolly - seven weeks of age and just so sweet .......... And as last time we spent the night in Slovakia to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed on the next day for taking part in another big event of my life: On 02/25/2006 the National Specialty took place in Devin (near Bratislava), and there I would stand in the ring in youth class for the first time.
Early in the morning we drove to the show are, where we all found enough space in a public event center. There were several breeds because the Club does not only attend to our breed. My human had bought me a great spacious box with wheels in which I got a smooth warm bed and from where I had a great view to the happenings around me when I had to get into the box from time to time. But there is also a cover which can be closed when I need some peace.
Some family members were also there: Bella Stella, the powderpuff girl of my breeder, my niece Terry (powderpuff, a daughter of Bella Stella and my big brother Hopkirk and my dad Albi. Later in the morning also Lilly came and joined me in my box every now and then.
Around noon it was the turn for our breed. My human was nervous .......... and she turned to be even more nervous when she heard that this time she should show me by herself. There would not have been the necessity for that as I did not make it too hard for her. But sure, she had to be like that as for sure it is completely different to show such a dwarf like me instead of a huge dog like my Briard family is. For me she even had to get on her knees .......... ;-)
Rather fast it was the turn of the youth class and we stood in the ring. We were three and I was the second one. The ground was a bit slippery, there was no carpet, but I managed things good with running - out of my view. And for posing I pulled myself together and did not make my human work to long to have me in the correct position. Well .......... the result can be seen: Excellent 1 - Junior Winner. We were mighty pround and thrilled. The photos of this show can be found via my Gallery.
And the results of the family members: Lilly also went Junior Winner, Terry got an Excellent 2 in junior class and her mom Bella Stella went CAC in open class. A lot of great results, a lot of lucky owners and a happy breeder - what else can one wish.
In three weeks we will head off to the next trip. By then you will latest hear from me again.
February 21, 2006
Today I am nine months of age. Concerning the age this is for sure nothing special or a reason to celebrate it like a birthday. But .......... from today on I am in Junior Class in the show rings and therewith, I am in real concurrence with other ones. Please have fingers tightly crossed - I am rather excited.
January 27/28, 2006
On 01/27/2006 we started for another trip: this time to my entry into the show rings. My human and I went to my breeder and spent a nice late afternoon and evening with her family, my dog famila and with Jana, who had been so kind to come over for translating.
Later in the evening we went to a students' hostel where we had rent a room for a night, so that my human I did not have to get up too early in the morning.
In the morning on 01/28/2006, we went to my breeder for having breakfast and then we began the trip together with my breeder, Ondrej (her son) and Lilly (Family Song's Ulien, a daughter of my cousin Amanda and my new girlfriend) to Trencin, where I was to be in the show ring for the first time. Of course this was totally new for me and very exciting, but I managed things brillantly: With the result "very promising 1" I was Winner of Puppy Class (among 3 entered dogs) and in the afternoon I was allowed to go to the honory ring together with all the puppy winners of all breeds. .
I also met my dad Albi, and we were of course taken photos of.
To end this nice entry into the "Show Business" and at the end of a great day we had coffee and cake at my breeders, before my human and I went back home, where we received a warm welcome, me especially by Zabou who seemed to have missed me.
Photos of the show and the surrounding can be found via the Gallery. By the way: the nice dress I am wearing on those photos was made by my human herself. She can do that now, and has spoilt me with two suits last week.
My next show will be the National Specialty in Bratislava on Feb. 25, 2006. By then I will be in youth class.
So then, until next time - either with actual news or after the next show.

HOORAY, we are mobile again: Yesterday my human could pick up her repaired car from the garage, and you can't see anything from all the damages, the front is like new.
Great, now I can again be out and about with my human and need not stay at home, because she does not need to make the most necessary things by foot or with the public transport. I love to be anywhere with her, because there are so many things to experience, things I don't want to miss as I am such an open minded, funny guy.
