The last extended show weekend of this year is over. With the three show guest dogs Loomes (LOLLIPOP z Valdorfskych lesu), Rapunzel (RAPUNZEL Winning Smile) and Mafia (CIB Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAFIA) I was in Nitra/SK from December 18th to 22nd, where four international shows took place. Rapunzel and Mafia were shown on all four days, Loomes only on December 20th.
Dear Szonja came to Nitra on December 19th and spent the days and nights with us until December 22nd, and she again handled Mafia at all shows.
On the first day Rapunzel left the ring with very good 1 and Mafia with a V1 without a title. The judge's decisions for all the shown dogs were somewhat questionable, and he was sometimes very rude with the dogs. He touched them from behind with a firm grip, which frightened many and then led to bad results, even for many of the otherwise very successful dogs. The second day was not particularly successful for us either: Loomes very good 1, Rapunzel very good 1, only Mafia left the ring as class winner with Exd. 1 CAC. Due to the experiences of the previous day, Rapunzel, who usually shines in the ring, was very unsettled and even fearful on the table. A dog with a great nature can quickly become totally unsettled by a single judge. Mafia was not the funny dog she usually is, but as a professional at shows and with the help of Szonja, she handled everything better. Thank you very much, dear sir! Needless to say, the black list has been enriched by one more name.
The third day finally brought the successes we had hoped for: Rapunzel got Exc. 1, CAC-J and Junior Winner, Mafia left the ring with Exc. 1 CAC. Because of Rapunzel's insecurity, we decided that Szonja would try to show her. It worked perfectly when we practiced while Rapunzel didn't see or smell me. When it was the hairless females' turn, I disappeared from the hall and waited for someone to let me know when it was all over. We did the same on the last day, where the results from the previous day were repeated: Rapunzel Exc. 1, CAC-J and Junior Winner, Mafia Exc. 1 CAC. With this CAC-J, Rapunzel achieved the number of qualifications required for the Slovakian Junioor Champion. This title was confirmed immediately.

Unfortunately, we were also unlucky with the accommodation this time. I had initially reserved a room in a guest house right in Nitra, but I had to cancel it at the owner's request because she needed it for herself. As it is becoming increasingly difficult to find affordable rooms/apartments with dogs, there was only one guesthouse in a village about 30 km from Nitra. The distance is not a problem for me, you just leave earlier for the exhibition. But what we were offered for 150 euros plus 80 euros for the dogs for 4 nights was terrible: the heating was not working for the longest time; on Thursday at 11 p.m. the water in the whole house was turned off completely and not turned on again until Friday at 5 a.m.; contrary to the information provided for this accommodation, there were no cosmetic products and no hair dryer in the bathroom - not even soap for washing hands; there were only 2 small towels without any shower/bath towels; if the toilet paper ran out, you had to wait until you met the house owner; the fitted carpet in the room was dirty and not firmly laid; there was no extractor in the bathroom and it smelled musty; it was not possible to open the window due to the lack of heating; no lighting at the bedside tables, which meant that you had to feel your way to the bed in the dark; the streaming services promised in the description were not available; the soundproofing mentioned does not exist - you can hear every noise from the adjoining rooms and the hallway; replacement garbage bags could not be found; the amount of crockery and cutlery in the kitchen left a lot to be desired (e.g. only a single tablespoon and scratched Teflon pans); the oven did not work, so the pizza we bought was an unnecessary expense; there was no extractor fan here either, which meant that you could smell everything that was being cooked throughout the house. Only the heating pad that Szonja brought with her kept us warm and prevented us from having to go to bed fully clothed (possibly even with a winter jacket/coat). It's a shame to offer such prices or to post descriptions online that are absolutely not true. In this case, you can't be happy to have found accommodation where dogs are allowed.
Well, next time I hope I can find something that lives up to what the description says.
Now it's time to take a break from shows and recharge our batteries for the next season.

Now it is official, the diploma was delivered to Milja. Mamacita (CIB Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA) is Beauty Champion Latvia.

This weekend, Mamacita (CIB Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA) successfully completed the 2024 show season. She was registered for the national shows in Valmiere/LV and left the ring extremely successfully on November 16th. With the CAC and BB2, she fulfills the conditions for the Beauty Champion Latvia. With this result, it was decided that she no longer needs to be shown on the 2nd day.
Thank you Milja for another perfect grooming and handling and congratulations on the success!
With this title, Mamacita has 21 championships including a youth championship.

October 21, 2024:
Back from a long weekend in Serbia with Dyoma (Multi-Champ. Magic of Success DIAMOND) and the three show guest dogs Loomes (LOLLIPOP z Valdorfskych lesu), Rapunzel (RAPUNZEL Winning Smile) and Mafia (CIB Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAFIA). Szonja, the daughter of my friend Edit from Hungary, was there as a companion from October 18th to 21st. Thanks to her help, all four dogs were groomed perfectly.
On October 19th there was the CACIB show in Turija. Loomes received very good in the intermediate class because in the judge's opinion he has a too feminine head (???). Dyoma won the champion class with CAC, Rapunzel was class winner of the junior class with CAC-J and CACIB-J and Mafia was also class winner with CAC in the champion class.
The second CACIB show took place in Backa Topola and all four dogs left the ring with great results: Loomes was class winner of the intermediate class with CAC and also received the Res. CACIB, Dyoma again class winner of the champion class with CAC, Rapunzel also class winner of the junior class with CAC-J and Mafia also in the champion class with CAC class winner.
On both days Mafia was perfectly presented by Szonja. The two immediately took a liking to each other.
This means that Rapunzel meets the requirements for the Junior Champion Serbia and Mafia for the Beauty Champion Serbia.
Unfortunately, the accommodation left a lot to be desired. First we were given a very small room in which we could hardly move. On the second day, the hostess cheekily moved all our things to a larger room while we were away. The room was fine in terms of size, but we quickly found out that there was no heating. Luckily, Szonja had a heating blanket with her so we didn't have to go to bed fully clothed. So the next time we visit these exhibitions, we will definitely not book again.
As every year, both shows were perfectly organized, there was enough space for the exhibitors, sunny weather and very good food.

Today is Mamacita's fourth birthday. All the best to the sweet little mouse, who this time is not being spoiled at home, but by Milja in Finland and is celebrating her birthday together with her brother Mario (CIB Multi-Champ. Jamming's MALBORO).
August 17/18, 2024:
This weekend Mamacita (CIB Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA) had her first official appearance at shows in Finland.
The evaluation system is different from ours: of all the dogs shown from the youth to champion classes, there is only one CAC for males and one for females. The CAC is therefore awarded more or less like the CACIB here. This does not mean that the Exc. 1 from a class also receives a CAC. Further awards are CQ = Champion Quality and BB = Best Female or BM = Best Male with the number of placements. First there is the basic assessment of all the dogs shown and then it's about the placements and titles.
Yesterday there was a CAC show in Kouvola under judge David Ramos Martinez/E. Mamacita received V1 CQ BB1 (Best Female) BOS CAC CH. With the CAC from the champion class with a championship from another country, Mamacita was also awarded the Beauty Champion Finland. I would never have thought that she would achieve this at her first official show. Needless to say that I was and still am on cloud nine.
Today there was the CAC show in Heinola under judge Annamaria Tarjan/HU, where Mamacita received V1 CQ BB2 (second best female).
Milja did a great job with Mamacita and I am very grateful to her for her efforts. I would also like to thank her assistants Johanna, Tiina and Miia for their support and the photos I received after the show. The ring clerk kindly took photos of BOB and BOS with the judge's cell phone. The photos are now in Mamacita's photo gallery/shows. I don't know whether Mamacita will be shown in Finland again or whether she will now start traveling to the Baltic countries with the breeders Samu and Lella. I'll wait and see.
July 31, 2024:
Today I was able to collect Maverick's ashes. He has found his final resting place in his urn between his parents. I wear a pendant with some of his ashes on a necklace and another pendant now hangs in the car next to those of all those who have gone before. So he will also be with me on all my trips and look after the dogs traveling with me and me.
July 27, 2024:
It's a terrible day. I took Maverick (CIB Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) to the veterinary clinic because he wasn't himself. He ate and drank well, but otherwise just slept. I wanted a chest x-ray done, even though his breathing was normal. The doctors decided that blood would first be taken for a full blood count and that he should have an infusion. As always, he endured everything patiently. However, he didn't lie down, but stayed sitting the whole time or took a few steps. The blood test came before the infusion was completely through. It showed very high infection levels ....... a bad sign. I insisted on an ultrasound check. Although I had hoped that this was not the case, my premonition came true: metastases in the liver. So the chest x-ray was no longer necessary.
With the operation in mid-May, we were given just 2 months, 2 weeks and 4 days. Everything had looked so good, Maverick had recovered quickly and was active and full of life. The blood tests in between had shown no abnormalities.
So it was time to let go, sooner than I had hoped and desired. All I could do was wish him a safe journey and tell him that he would now meet his parents again before he got his wings in my arms. And once again one of my favorites took a piece of my heart with him. How many pieces do I have left?
I immediately took Maverick to the nearby animal crematorium after one of the vets had phoned to check whether I could come.
Maverick, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have given me over the years since your birth in the form of unconditional love, joy, fun, comfort, happiness and success. The memories of the 13 years, 2 months and 1 day we spent together will hopefully give me the strength to deal with the pain of your passing. You were one of my soul dogs, you will never be forgotten... until we meet again.

Today Mamacita (CIB Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA) took part at her first show in Finland. It was the annual club show without titles in Lammi, Kanta-Häme. She was presented by Milja, the owner of her brother Mario (CIB Multi-Champ. Jamming's MALBORO). Mamacita received excellent in a strong competition of 9 bitches in the champion class. She then took part in the progeny group of her mother Bella (CIB Multi-Champ. Crufts Winner 2020 Jamming's ELEKTRA) together with her brother Mario and her sister Mafia. The group received first place.

Thank you Milja that my sweet little mouse can live with you, have fun with your males Mario and Billy (Multi-Champ. Jamming's QUENTIN TARANTINO) as well as your female Giia. Thanks that she is lovingly cared for and looked after by you. Thank you also for the frequent updates about her and for playing her my weekly voice messages and then telling me how happy she was when hearing my voice. She is sorely missed here.

Dyoma's (Multi-Champ. Magic of Success DIAMOND) third birthday is being celebrated today. All the best, little sweet man. It's so nice to have you here.
It's also a remembrance day: It's been six years since Steel (Champ. Silver Bluff STEEL KING LEGACY, AOM) started his final journey. He is missed so much. The burning candle shows him that he is being thought of and that he is not forgotten.
June 22,2024:
Today I went to the Specialty of the Chinese Crested Club Czech Republic in Brno/CZ with the two guest dogs. The judge was Sandra Hörmann/AT. Unfortunately, Loomes (LOLLIPOP z Valdorfskych lesu) is still not confident enough in new surroundings. He left the ring with a very good result again. Rapunzel (RAPUNZEL Winning Smile) received a very promising 1, class winner and Best powderpuff Puppy.

Thanks to those responsible for organizing this show. The atmosphere was good, there were nice gifts for the dogs, and many friends were met.
I was particularly happy to meet Samu, the breeder of Mamacita (CIB Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA), for the first time after he brought her to Vienna in 2020. And this time it "went" the other way around: Samu is taking Mamacita to Finland to show her there and in Baltic countries, and to possibly have a litter with her. It was very hard for me to say goodbye; the funny and always active mouse will be missed here. Mamacita will live mainly with Milja, the owner of a brother and a half-brother of Mamacita. Milja has promised to keep me informed regularly and to send me photos and videos. Mamacita has an excellent nature, she will settle in quickly and will now get up to mischief in Finland.
June 15, 2024:
The guest dogs and I are at saghows ain, namely the double CAC in Herend/HU. Suzana Simon/HR judged the first show. Loomes (LOLLIPOP z Valdorfskych lesu) got very good due to a lack of a high-carried tail, Rapunzel (RAPUNZEL Winning Smile) got very promising 1, class winner and Best Puppy. The second show was judged by Tomas Kucera/CZ. This time it worked out for Loomes: he left the ring with V1 Junior CAC and Junior Winner. Little Rapunzel was again class winner and Best Puppy. I went into the main ring with her both times, but other breeds impressed the judges more. Congratulations to the breeders Mirka and Nastya for the great results.
Once again it was a very beautiful area with lots of grass for walking and lots of trees that provided shade, but away from the rings. My friend Viktoria from Hungary also came with her two dogs. We hadn't seen each other for a long time and enjoyed the time together. She didn't take part in the afternoon show, but I discovered friends that I hadn't seen for a long time and spent a fun and cozy time with them away from the rings under the shady trees until the end of the show.
This time we left on June 12th, and stayed in a beautiful, cozy guest house with a fully fenced garden that the dogs could enjoy. The house is only 5 minutes from the show grounds, so I decided to leave the car behind and walk to the show. The tent was too heavy for me, so it stayed behind. That wasn't the best idea, because our spot next to the ring was exposed to the sun all day. Nevertheless, the dogs were comfortable with the trolley equipment.
The owners of the guest house are absolute dog lovers, speak perfect German, are totally lovely and helpful, and visited us every day. They even came to the show. I had asked on site to extend my stay and this was immediately granted. I even got a call to tell me that I don't have to check out in the morning on June 15th, but can stay as long as I like that day without any charges. Thank you again for that! I'll definitely be staying there when I go to Herend again.

The next show weekend with the two guest dogs.
On June 1st, a club show of the Slovakian Chinese Crested Club took place in Bratislava/SK. Here, too, there was a very nice area with a large hall. Everything was fenced in so that the dogs could also run freely. As rain was forecast, the sthow ook place in the hall. The judge was Dr. Roberto Schill/RO.
Loomes (LOLLIPOP z Valdorfskych lesu) got a very good 2, because unfortunately he didn't hold his tail up when he ran. Rapunzel (RAPUNZEL Winning Smile) got a very promising 1, class winner and Best Puppy. After the basic evaluation, it was time for the club winners and Rapunzel was Best Puppy In Show. I wasn't expecting that. Congratulations to her breeder Nastya. I'm sorry for Mirka that things didn't go so well this time.
Meanwhile, Roman Szurma took a few photos next to the photographer that was hired. After the show, he kindly agreed to take outdoor pictures of the two dogs. Thank you Roman!

On June 2nd, the Slovakian Chinese Crested Club held a Specialty on the same grounds, which was judged by Sandra Hörmann/AT. Unfortunately, Loomes again received very good for the same reason as yesterday. Rapunzel received once again very promising 1, class winner and Best Powderpuff Puppy. After the lunch break, the competitions for the best in this Specialty continued and Rapunzel was named Res. Puppy Best In Specialty Show. The last competition was the crowning glory of the weekend for us: Rapunzel left the ring with the title of Puppy Supreme Best In Show.
My friend Ulrike also took part at this s-how again with her friend Angie. Since the weather was good, we set up our tents next to each other and enjoyed the time outside with our dogs when there were no judging or competitions taking place in the hall. We had a lot of fun and at the end of the show all the exhibitors still present let their dogs run free. They had fun, but everything went off without any problems. Ulrike made a short video of it.

Today Maverick (CIB Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) celebrates his 13th birthday. What a blessing that we can experience this day after the panic of the emergency surgery 13 days ago. He is doing relatively well and is recovering very satisfactorily. All the best, my big darling. I hope from the bottom of my heart that we can spend a lot more time together.
Although I did not have a histological examination of the tumor done, Maverick has been receiving CBD oil as an alternative cancer treatment for two weeks and once the stitches are removed next week, he will also be receiving Fenbendazole powder.

Happy 10th birthday to the P-litter, namely Prada (Caipirinha's PRADA PINK EDITION) and her brother Pagani (Caipirinha's PAGANI 2HOT 2HANDLE) in Germany. Hopefully the two will be spoiled by Anne today.
A candle was lit for their brother PorschePorsche (Caipirinha's PINK HOT PORSCHE) so that he can see that he is being thought of.
May 13, 2024:
Another show weekend was cancelled for urgent reasons. I wanted to take the two guest dogs to the CAC show in Mol/SRB and the CACIB show in Ada/SRB on May 16th. It was not to be. I went to the vet because Maverick (CIB Multi-Champ. Caipirinha's NEED 4SPEED) had severe diarrhea. The blood test showed very high levels of inflammation, so an ultrasound was done. A large tumor on the spleen and possibly also on the liver was diagnosed. The big question was whether the almost 13-year-old dog should undergo such a major surgery, when in 2009 I had lost my 10-year-old Briard bitch Whoopy (EXCUSE-MOI WHOOPY de la Maison du Garde-Barière) just three weeks after the exact same surgery. I asked for a lung x-ray to make sure there were no metastases there. I agreed with the vets that they should perform the surgery, but not wake Maverick up in case the liver was also affected. Maverick was taken straight into the operating room, and the wait was nerve-wracking. Then finally the head of the veterinary clinic came to me with photos that showed that only the spleen was affected by the tumor, was about to burst, and that the surgery was almost over. Then I was finally able to hold Maverick in my arms again. Now I'm praying that this was it and that I can still spend a lot of time with my special Keanu son.
Many thanks to Dr. Svihran's veterinary clinic for the quick diagnosis and the immediate emergency surgery as well as the always good care of my dogs.
May 4, 2024:
The show season is finally really starting for us. Today we went to the double CAC show Mosonmagyarovar/HU, which took place in Hegeyshalom, with the two guest dogs. It was a beautiful, large area in the countryside, with great opportunities for walks. The weather was changeable: sunshine in the morning, but stormy and cold, and hot in the afternoon without any wind. We had to anchor the tents very firmly in the morning. My friend Ulrike came with her friend Angie, who has the same tent, and we were able to secure everything so that it couldn't fly away or fall over.
The morning show was judged by Katalin Kiss/HU. Loomes (LOLLIPOP z Valdorfskych lesu) got V1, J-CAC and Youth Winner, Rapunzel (RAPUNZEL Winning Smile) left the ring with vey promising 1 and Best Puppy. We still have a lot of training ahead of us with Loomes in terms of self-confidence. Due to the death of the breeder's husband at the time of the litter, he unfortunately lacks socialization in an unfamiliar environment.
The afternoon show was judged by Tomas Kucera/CZ. Both dogs received the same results as in the morning.
And after a 6-year break from shows, Memy (CIB Multi-Champ. INCREDIBLE ME von Shinbashi) was back in the show ring. She received Exc.1, Veteran CAC and Best Veteran at both shows. It's unbelievable how the little mouse can still run in her 14th year. The judges were delighted, as were those in the main ring, even if they overlooked the oldest female in the ring for BIS Veteran. At times she even ran in front of me in the main ring - well done, dear Memy!
It was nice to meet friends again. We had a good time together and hopefully we can do it again soon.

It seems like yesterday.....it's been six years since my one and only Keanu (CIB Multi-Champ Whisperingln' THE DEVILS ADVOCATE) died unexpectedly. He is missed as much as the first day. Of course, a candle has been lit for him too.

My first powderpuff show girl Hippie (CIB Multi-Champ. by Shinbashi HIGH PROVOCATION) has her 7th birthday today. Congratulations to this great lady. One more year and the successful girl can return to the show ring as a veteran.

I was actually supposed to be in Banja Luka/BIH with three dogs for the annual 2 CACIB and 2 CAC shows, but things turned out differently. Shortly before midnight, a show guest dog arrived here, the female Rapunzel (RAPUNZEL Winning Smile). Many thanks to Nastya for trusting me to give this little female dog for shows. I hope I will delight her with great results.
February 16, 2024:
Mamacita (CIB Multi-Champ. Jamming's MAMACITA) and I were at the International Show in Nitra/SK today and she left the ring with a great success: she is now Grand Champion Slovakia. This means that she has achieved all the titles we wanted to achieve for the time being. This is her 12th championship. I don't need to mention how proud I am of this sweet dog.

Today it was time to say goodbye to Mojito (Caipirinha's MOJITO BACCARDI), just one day before his 14th birthday. Safe journey to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, little man. You will be missed. His body was immediately taken to the crematorium and on January 12th, I can take him home.

Since August 2020 I tinker intensely with Photoshop - until now I only cut out dogs unprofessionally. I would like to learn something new and implement several effects.
